Egyptian and foreign archaeological missions

The modern renaissance, independence and freedom sent a new pride in the hearts of young people, which made them cherish the remembrance of the pharaohs and be proud of their monuments, and this success coincided with the discovery of some antiquities such as the discovery of Tutankhamun, which sent attention, rather, surprise and glee among all the people of the nation, and the interest of the Egyptians in studying the pharaohs is still small if measured. By studying Europeans about the history of our ancestors, and counting hundreds of studies in English and American languages for it; All European universities and some American ones spend huge expenses on giving lectures about the pharaohs and sending missions to Egypt to study their antiquities.

The work of foreign missions in Egypt is by decisions of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, which allows foreign missions to work in Egypt according to certain conditions after the approval of the relevant permanent committee, whether for ancient Egyptian, Greek and Roman antiquities or Christian and Islamic antiquities. On all the secrets of the ancient Egyptian civilization, with their efforts and the resulting great discoveries.

The effectiveness of the Egyptian archaeological missions of various sectors in the Ministry of Antiquities requires an appropriate budget and the support of the political will. Is it reasonable for the Egyptian archaeologists to stop studying their history and excavate its secrets to leave this task to foreign archaeological missions, most of which are still doing their work? Is it not worth thinking about it? Even if it is on the grounds that we are more worthy of our relics than foreigners?

Antiquities should be viewed as a material for development and an increase in state resources, including major projects to revive the historical roads in Sinai and projects to develop archaeological sites and exploit them in activities that do not conflict with their archaeological nature and ensure their protection, provided that this is accompanied by a spirit of sincerity, adventure and exploration of any citizen.

The state, represented by the Ministry of Antiquities, must benefit from the experiences of archaeologists in terms of pension, which are rare experiences in all sites in archaeological and administrative work, by forming a board of trustees from among them that meets periodically according to a list that determines how to benefit and the financial compensation for their efforts. The proposed regulation.
