King Tutankhamun's tomb
King
Tutankhamun's tomb has enjoyed world fame because it is the only royal tomb in
the Valley of the Kings whose contents have been discovered relatively intact
and complete. The discovery of the tomb in 1922 by Howard Carter made headlines
in newspapers all over the world, accompanied by the emergence of gold
artifacts and luxurious pieces discovered in the tomb. Tutankhamun's tomb and
its treasures are among the most important archaeological discoveries so far.
The tomb of
Tutankhamun is very small in terms of size and architectural design despite its
precious contents, due to the arrival of Tutankhamun to the throne at a very
young age and he ruled for only nine years.
ر
The small size
of the tomb included about 3,500 artifacts that were discovered, these pieces
represent the lifestyle in the royal palace, and include things that
Tutankhamun would use in his daily life such as clothes, jewelry, cosmetics,
incense, furniture, chairs, toys, utensils made of a variety of materials,
vehicles, weapons and others .
It should be noted that the young king Tutankhamun was canceled from the
history of ancient Egypt because he is associated with King Akhenaten, who was
not popular because of his religious revolution, but his fame has now surpassed
many of the greatest kings of ancient Egypt.
