The Pyramid of King Khufu
The Great Pyramid, or better known as the Pyramid of King Khufu,
with its original height of 146.5 m, was the tallest building in the world for
3800 years, and it is still one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World that
remains until now. It took 10 to 20 years to build the pyramid.
The Great Pyramid was built of local
limestone, and it was completely covered in the past with a high-quality
limestone cladding, The cladding stones were brought from the Tora quarries by
boats up to the pyramid.
From the inside, the pyramid includes three
burial chambers, one of which is cut under the lower rock, and two At a height
inside the building itself, which is what distinguishes the pyramid of Khufu
unlike any other pyramid, and the sarcophagus in which King Khufu was lying can
be seen inside the king’s room, as this room can be accessed through the Great
Hall, which is a corridor with a large tiered ceiling that is considered a masterpiece
In ancient architecture.
To this day, we have no confirmed information about how the
Great Pyramid was built, But it remains constant that it was built by Egyptian hands, and
that it was considered a national project in its time, supervised by the
government financially and administratively.
